For my last morning  at the artist's retreat, I chose to paint on a farm that has been in the family for 150 years. Tucked away on a country road, the morning was quiet and still. Just the occasional rooster crowing. I learned a lot from speaking to George the farmer. He uses chicken manure on his flower beds and the zinnias and dahlias are glorious. He also told me that most of the acreage will be conserved from development. Good news.

Framed.
