I was purchasing some produce at a local fruit stand and spied an old apple tree along the driveway. As soon as I saw it, I had an idea! I asked the farmer if he would cut a branch or two for me and my students to use as a still life prop. He obliged and charged me $5.00. After I finished this painting, I was grateful.
